Chris Eftychiou
Chris Eftychiou is the Executive Director of Coaching for the Vikings Futbol Club, handling all soccer related aspects for boys and girls. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in coaching both high school and club soccer in Bergen County. Coach Eftychiou strives to develop club programs so that they best prepare players for the high school soccer experience and beyond. As the former Varsity Girls coach at Northern Valley Demarest, he truly connects the local community to the major sending high school. Despite his focus on the 3 towns that make up the glut of the Vikings, he truly cares about the development of all players, regardless of their ability.
When Coach Eftychiou is not coaching or writing 5 million Vikings-related emails, you can find him with his kids, fly fishing, hiking, skiing, traveling, reading, and of course, being a special education teacher at Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest. Coach Eftychiou is a graduate of Pascack Hills High School, Seton Hall University (BS in Special Education/Teacher of the Handicapped), and Teacher's College at Columbia University (MA Instructional Technology and Media). He has attended various soccer education courses such as the United Soccer Coaches Adnvanced National Dimploma as well as the Director of Coaching Certificate. Coach Eftychiou enjoys attending the United Soccer Coaches convention each year with his coaching colleagues as well!
