SUMMER TRAINING: We hope many of our players are taking advantage of all the excellent local training opportunities! Evening July clinics start on 7/7 under Rebel 76 Soccer.
SUMMER CAMP: Many of our players are signing up for the Aug 11-14th camp at NV Demarest HS run by Rebel 76 Soccer.

ANNUAL PICNIC: Friday June 6th, we are hosting a picnic for our wonderful members! See member email for RSVP link! We will be doing the 8th Grade Clapout at the Picnic at 6:30 PM!
FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND TOURNAMENT: We have a number of teams going to Ridgewood or North Rockland for the tournament.

UPCOMING 8TH GRADE CLAPOUT: Our 3rd Annual 8th Grade Clapout will be in June at NV Demarest Stadium. We honor the 8th Graders who are "graduating" from Vikings FC and heading off to High School next year. Many of our 8th graders started very early with our club, but some chose to come to our club later on due to our wonderful trainers and organization. Either way, these families stuck it out in our club, through thick and thin, despite so many options around. Let's clap them out and wish them luck!
UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS: Many of our teams are attending the Manalapan Soccer Tournament over Memorial Weekend and a bunch will attend the Ridgewood Father's Day Weekend Tournament in June. Can't wait to see them out there in their tournament jerseys!
TRYOUT UPDATE: Formal tryouts have concluded, but we are still taking registrations at many age groups to round out our rosters. We have spots at many levels so don't hesitate to register and email us if you have questions.
Most age groups have been rolled out, but the directors plan on rolling out final age groups this week!
Apr 2025 - VFC directors are preparing for tryouts. Remember, if attending, always check the tryout page on our website for updates. Also, please make sure you child is wearing SHIN GUARDS under SOCCER SOCKS. We should not see plastic of the shin guards. Also, any goalkeepers should bring gloves and notify the coaches so they are aware they want to be considered as a parttime goalie. Finally, please arrive at least 15-20 min prior. All players will get a number to pin onto their shirt. There is no dress code for tryouts so current players can wear practice shirts if they want. New players can dress for soccer!

TRYOUT UPDATE: Tryout registrations are at record levels for our club with so many families from the Northern Valley and Pascack Valley areas exploring opportunities. The tryout schedule is posted here. Look for updates.
RED BULL GAME: Wow, what a great time we had. With nearly 200 Vikings people attending the game, we had so much fun! We had players and parents holding the center banner and many also watched warmups next to the field. See photos and video below!

Jan 2025 - It is amazing, but VFC is already planning tryouts for this upcoming year. Updates coming soon, but look for registration open in Feb for early April tryouts (with some early looks happening in March!)
Dec 2024 - Winter training starts on 12/2 running under @Rebel76Soccer with 17 teams entered in the Soccer Coliseum League in Teaneck! In addition, many of our Vikings teams will be entering in tournaments at the Soccer Coliseum and Rockland Community College. Good times and great touches on the ball.
Dec 2024 - We had a great coach/trainer game to celebrate the end of the season on Black Friday.
Oct 2024 - The Winter Store is open from 10/23-11/3!!! Go here!
Oct 2024 - Winter training is going live for VFC teams via out partner organization, Rebel 76 Soccer. This is optional, but recommended as they provide a great local option for our players. In addition, many players who train will also be able to play in league play at the Soccer Coliseum in Teaneck, NJ.
Sept 2024 - We are happy to get our season started with a great group of trainer and volunteer parents leading teams. VFC is dedicated to player development over winning! This culture is pervasive in the club.
Parents, make sure you update avail for all practices that are now posted as well as optional tournaments.
June 2024 - Happy Graduation to our 8th graders! We had a great annual clap out event on June 12th!
May 2024 - Most rosters have been released, but VFC directors are still takeing registration at some age groups. Simply register and we can reach out for a tryout.

Feb 2024 - The winter has been fantastic with nearly all of our players training in the winter and many playing in both league games at The Soccer Coliseum (under Rebel 76 Soccer) and many of our VFC teams have tone tournament at The Soccer Coliseum and Rockland Community College. Spring is almost upon on so people are getting excited.
This is a great time to go get your cleats ready and make sure your uniforms are organized!
Tryout registration will open at the beginning of March.
Sept 2023 - The fall season has started. VFC is proud to be running 39 teams from U8 to U15 boys and girls. We also have 4 U7 boys groups, 2 U6 boys groups, and one U6/U7 girls group. More junior programs will be running in the winter (under Rebel 76 Soccer) and spring under Vikings!
In addition, VFC is entering over 20 teams into the Parsippany Pride Columbus Weekend Tournament! This is the most teams we have ever entered.

July 2023 - Summer clinics run under Rebel 76 Soccer are a great way to knock the ball around this summer. Also, the Sunset camp in Demarest Aug 14-18th is fun. Enjoy time with family and friends this summer and looking forward to September.
June 2023 - As the season wraps up, we wanted to make sure we wish all good luck. We had a great 8th Grade Clap out as usual. Also, good luck to all playing in Father's Day Weekend tournaments!
May 2023 - All rosters have been finalized and VFC is happy to be running 39 teams in 2023-24, the most in club history. This also makes VFC one of the biggest clubs in Northern New Jersey. We are excited to continue provided a development-first philosophy to our players. Also, good luck to all our teams playing in the Memorial Weekend Tournaments!
Apr 2023 - Well, the tryout registrations are flowing in nicely and we appreciate the patience! We know some organization rush tryouts and pressure families to commit, but there are clubs out there like Vikings who respect community soccer programs and feel that players should be able to develop in the spring before being evaluated. Make sure you register for tryouts on our tryout page if you want to be considered!
Mar 2023 - Tryout Registration has been open for a couple of weeks now, and numbers are growing. We remind all that our club is a community club with a full year commitment. We care about development, not wins and losses. We don't use the words elite and academy in our programs. We are a home for players of many ability levels and we are very inclusive. Jan 2023 - As far as we know, nearly 90% of our club are training in the winter or playing some sort of indoor soccer. This is credit to our amazing trainers who inspire our players. We are still getting inquiries every week about joining our club and we are excited to explore options. Inclusivity is a big part of our club culture!
Dec 2022 - Happy Holidays to all our Vikings families. This is a great time to get those soccer lovers some new Vikings swag or that World Cup ball they want!!!! Make sure cleats fit and that you have indoor shoes ready to go as well.
Nov 2022 - The Fall 2022 season wrapped up on December 3rd officially and it was one heck of a roller coaster. So many great games were played, win or lose. The spring season starts in Mid March with indoor training. Once April comes we will begin to move out.
Oct 2022 - Great job to all the teams that played in Columbus Weekend Tournaments. It took a ton of work by volunteer parent managers and our tournament coordinator Leigh as well as our registrar Monica! Great job to all and thanks for the hard work to make it fun for the kids.
Sept 2022 - Fall is off in an amazing way with 36 teams. Not sure how we will manage all of this, but with an amazing group of directors and volunteers, what can stop us!!!
April 2022 - Record tryout registrations this year so far, and the good news, nearly 100% of current members are registered to return to the club. This is not easy feat, but due to our amazing board and directors, we are doing some amazing things. Most importantly, we are sticking to our philosophy of development over wins and losses. Period!
April 2022 - Tryouts have been announced. We start May 6th to form teams for this coming fall.
June 2021 - Team formation is complete, but we do have some spots on some teams. Any interested families should always register for tryouts on our registration page so we can followup with options. In addition, please note that summer training is available via our partner organization Rebel 76 Soccer (www.Rebel76Soccer.com). They have evening training in July 2021 and also evening camp Aug 16-20th. All in Demarest, NJ! We with the club a great summer and look forward to the fall with our new and exciting teams.
May 2021 - Family Movie Night at the Englewood Field Club was a huge success. EFC is a terrific location with reasonable membership fees! We look forward to more events there. Thanks to all who attended...all 250 of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that was just U6 to U11! |
