ATTENTION KINDERGARTEN AND 1st GRADE PARENTS |
Boys Kindergarten and 1st Grade (2010 and 2011) signups are on Wednesday June 8 (4:30-5:30 PM) Schauble Park in Closter, NJ. This is a free clinic essentially and players are not evaluated for team placement.

All players interested in participating in the FALL 2015 & SPRING 2016 VIKINGS PROGRAM must register for tryouts. (Schedules below.)
Information on Vikings FC TryoutsIs the Vikings open to players from ANY TOWN?
Yes, although the majority of our players are from Haworth, Closter, and Demarest, we are happy to offer programs from players from other towns in our area. We have players from Englewood, Emerson, Dumont, Old Tappan, Tenafly, Cresskill, Fort Lee, Paramus, etc on our teams presently.
How are teams formed?
Teams are formed based on ability. At young ages, U7-U8, teams are sometimes balanced and mixed based on ability. As the players age, teams become more selective.
Who does the evaluating?
Players are evaluated by independent, hired evaluators and Vikings FC staff including the directors of coaching and the dedicated Vikings trainers. Trainers do not do the official evaluation of teams that they presently work with.
What if your child cannot attend the tryouts listed below?
You must register your child for tryouts regardless of being able to attend. We will be adding dates soon for potential makeups but to increase your child's chances of making the desired team, we recommend you make every effort to attend. Remember, all must register to be considered.
What is the cost to play for the Vikings?
The approximate cost to play for the Vikings for the full year is $750.00.
Do Vikings players play other sports?
Yes, we believe that there is nothing wrong with multi-sport athletes. Obviously and selfishly, we hope that players will develop a love for the game. All Vikings FC players play recreation soccer in the fall. The Vikings administration works very hard to avoid conflicts with other sports such as softball and baseball.

Is the Vikings a full year commitment?
Yes, the Vikings is a full year commitment that also involved a tournament over Memorial Weekend down in Manalapan, NJ. Teams play in Fall and Spring. Most teams train throughout the season.
What if a child does not make the Vikings team? Are there other options?
Depending on a child's ability, and the size of a team's roster, a training only/alternate spot may be offered.
